Hana Fujimoto born in 1993, is a London based artist and print maker.
Originally coming from a Fine Art background, she went on to studying Textile Design to expand her practice and passion for traditional craftsmanship, graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2017 with a first class honours.
In July 2017 she was awarded 1st prize for the Mullenlowe NOVA award and her graduate collection was exhibited in London Design Festival as well as being sold to The University of The Arts archive museum.
Her work is multi disciplinary and seeks to portray a personal and emotive journey through daily practice and rigorous research. She draws inspiration from her Japanese heritage as well as finding beauty in discarded ephemera of daily life. Abstraction and spontaneity are key themes in her work.
